Childline – Connect 2 Project

Childline is the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline, online (email or 1-2-1 counsellor chat) or by phone for children in distress or danger. Childline helps anyone under 19 with any issue they are going through. Trained volunteer counsellors’ comfort, advise and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. The telephone lines can be busy at times, but all calls will be answered, emails will be responded to as soon as possible – usually within 24 hours, however it can take longer at peak times. When contacting the helpline Childline make sure individuals are safe. A number of questions will be asked regarding where individuals are and who they are with, as well as how they are feeling. This can help understand the situation the individual may be in.
