What we do?

We are committed to improving the safety and welfare of young people living in Arun, Adur & Worthing. We empower young people to make positive decisions about their safety by:

  • Making information and resources available to them, their families, and friends to help them understand, discuss and navigate the issues affecting young people’s safety in West Sussex. All our resources have been compiled by community safety experts in partnership with local young people, including young people with experience of tackling some of those challenges
  • Answering commonly asked questions to help them make the right call

We offer young people living in Arun and Adur & Worthing access to a network of trained Community Ambassadors, who will:

  • Listen to young people.
  • Act as advisers and role models, to support and mentor them, help them find the right connections, make the best decisions to keep them safe, and achieve their full potential.
  • Signpost those needing support to the right advice and support services.
  • Promote positive opportunities for young people in the area. This may include access to mentoring, coaching, shadowing opportunities or help to find apprenticeships, to return to education or paid work.
  • To act as advocates and spokespeople for young people – giving them a voice.

Who we are?

Funded by Adur and Worthing District Council, Arun District Council and West Sussex County Council, we are an independent company with a track record of working with young people and their families to promote youth safety in England and Wales.

You can speak to us or one of our Ambassadors free and in confidence.
